My Children's Books
When little Tess is sad that she is too young to join a party, Roberta, a treasured employee of the Wool Shop, shares a story of the littlest elf at the North Pole. The elf, Luke, saves the Forgotten Toys with some help of woodland friends, by creating Santa's first wool duster.
Santa's First Wool Duster
Woodland animals play through the four seasons while using their five senses. The book opens with a quick challenge inviting the children to see if they can guess what sense each of the animals are using throughout the tale. Each story page has one sentence describing the colorful scene so the children can guess. There is a question page at the end that can be used as a review to see if they remember all of the senses used by sight, hearing, smelling, tasting and touching if so desired. This book is perfect for a toddler just learning about the five senses through older children to see if they can use their skills to guess what senses are used.

Keep an eye out for Bob who keeps turning up in the tale. After reading the story you'll want to look closer at any butterflies, and hummingbirds you see. Maybe they are actually woodland pixies.
